Mba in pharma management...is gaining importance day by day especially for those who dont want to continue their studies for more than 2 years after B.Pharmacy.
now a days, even m pharm has been saturated...and even not worth to go for...as it require 4-6 more years after m pharm to do phd and then post doc...any1 opting for this all...wud sooner or later go for mba ultimateely either dlp or regular...so if u have patience to study for atleast 6 years after b. pharm and if ur researrch mindeed a freak...or a fanatic...join m pharm from some biggies......even the branches like NP, med chem, are almost finished....there is nothing to go for this branches,,,its simply a waste...rather than this its more better to go for marketing than for m pharm in these branches...
as far as scope is concerned....mba has brilliant scope for those who r dedicated, have some sort of creativity,, communication skills, soft skills...and expertise in excel, word, powerpoint...
u can have post of product manager....not directly...but u wud work as mgmt trainee for 1-2 years,,.that will be counted ur experience too...then u wud be promoted to product manager...after some month or a year of sales field job...but ur salary wud be quite higher than any b pharm graduate or equivalent plus there are high growth opportunity after mba degree..as compared to b pharm.,
u can go for consulting job ...in some sort of consulting firm and initial packages are more then 4 lac..after mba...its a office job for those who have analytical mind and expertise in word, excel, powerpt,.
