Dharmsinh Desai University 
Dharmsinh Desai University (DDU) formerly known as DDIT, founded in 1968 by respected educationist, social worker and the Member of Parliament   Late Shri Dharmsinh Desai. In the year 2000, it   earned a status of Deemed University by Government of India, in recognition of its standards in academia. In April 2005, the Government of Gujarat declared  the institution as a State University. D. D University  is approved by the UGC Under section 2f and 12B. DDU has interacted with Government and International Academic institutions over the years. It has trained scientists and engineers to provide leadership in academia and industry since 1968. Its students have exhibited a drive for professional excellence throughout their careers. The graduates of  this university are highly sought by Indian and International companies.Various institutes established under the roof of DDU are Technology, Dental, Pharmacy, Commerce , BBA, MBA, BCA, MCA.

Faculty of Pharmacy 
Faculty of Pharmacy was established at Dharmsinh  Desai University with sole motive to promote excellence in pharmaceutical education to meet the  needs of industry and academia in 2006 offering  B.Pharm course. Faculty of Pharmacy is approved  by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). It  also offers  M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics and Quality assurance  and Doctorate programme in various disciplines of  Pharmacy Sophisticated instrumental facilities available in university including Powder XRD, UV-NIR, DSC, TGA,  FT-IR, GC-MS,  Zetasizer , Stop Flow and Temperature Jump Measurement, Bubble Drop Tensiometer, Langmuir Adsorption, Rotary Evaporator  etc. Institute is equipped with latest instrumentation  facilities including Spray Dryer, Fluidized Bed Dryer,  Lyophilizer, Tablet Compression Machine, HPLC,Tissue Culture Station  etc.  Considered an architectural splendor with ultramodern amenities, specially designed to suit the requirement of pharmacy  education, Faculty of Pharmacy is now  striving for  establishing a research facility by undertaking research on fundamental and practical aspects of  pharmaceutical science to provide leadership in  academia and industries.

Call for Abstract for Poster Session 
Research, Review and technical papers in the  emerging fields of pharmaceutical sciences are invited for poster presentation. The paper must be  original contributions that have not been published  previously or not under consideration for presentation or publication elsewhere.

  •  Type the title of abstract in the Times New Roman using font size of 12 and in bold Sentence Case. 
  •  Names of authors and address along with e-mail  ID for correspondence should be written below  the title in the Times New Roman, using font size of 11.  
  • The presenting author name must be underlined.  
  • The text of the abstract should be typed in Times  New Roman using font size of 12 using Single  line space. The abstract should not be more than 250 words.  
  •  Abstract should be submitted via e-mail on  ddupharmaevent@gmail.com 
  • All the abstracts will be subjected to peer reviewed and decision will be notified to the presenting author through e-mail.  Abstract submission deadline: 20th January, 2013 
  • Confirmation of acceptance: 25th  January, 2013 
  • Awards will be distributed for the encouragement of participants. 

Poster Specification: 
1.  The area provided for poster presentation will
not be more than 0.95 meter (95 cm) wide by 1 meter height (100cm).
2.  The name of the presenting author should be
underlined.
