On Monday, March 19, 2012, at 11am (ET), the CDER Small Business Assistance Program will present our webinar entitled FDA’s Medical Countermeasures initiative (MCMi) and You, which will describe FDA’s Medical Countermeasures initiative (MCMi) and explain what we are doing under the initiative to support the development and availability of medical products.
Our presenter will be Dr. Luciana Borio, who is Assistant Commissioner for Counterterrorism Policy and Director of the Office of Counterterrorism and Emerging Threats (OCET) in the Office of the Commissioner. Dr. Borio joined FDA in 2008 coming from the Center for Biosecurity at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where she served from 2003 to 2008 as Senior Associate, Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, and Advisor on Biodefense Programs to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
