This book is a general introduction aimed at all those involved in the engineering stages required for the manufacture of the active ingredient (drugs & primary manufacture) and its dosage forms (secondary manufacture). Chapters also focus on the design of quality control laboratories, process development facilities and pilot plants as these all play a role in ensuring medicines are of an appropriate quality and have their own special problems for pharmaceutical products.
